Igor graduated from Medical University in 1986 with MD degree and later completed post-graduate degree in General Surgery from St. Petersburg Pediatric Medical Academy. He worked at Maryinsky Hospital in St. Petersburg where he specialized in Emergency Surgery. After this, he went to the UK where he worked for one of the private healthcare companies.
Igor joined Servier Pharmaceuticals in 1993 and spent five years in the company, his last position was National Sales Directors in Russia. In 1999 he joined Solvay Pharmaceuticals as General Manager Russia and CIS; he was promoted in 2006 to the role of Senior Area Director and lead company’s development across more than 20 countries of Central and Eastern Europe. In 2008 he became Executive Vice-President at the company’s international headquarters in Brussels. He later moved to Abbott Laboratories to work as Regional Director where he managed operations in the 15 countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
Igor earned MBA from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration and attended Advanced Management Programs at IMD and INSEAD. He speaks Russian, English and has some knowledge of French.
Igor lives in Belgium; he enjoys travelling and experiencing the amazing sights during self-driving tours. He also enjoys photography and forest walking with his wife and their 11 years old son.
